NPPR has developed workgroups focusing on the P2 national emphasis areas (NEAs) established by the US EPA’s P2 Program.  

The metal manufacturing and fabrication workgroup focuses on P2 solutions for facilities engaged in metal finishing operations (NAICS codes 332813); such operations may include electroplating, electroless plating, polishing, anodizing, coating and coloring  (SIC codes 3471, 3479) and printed circuit boards (3672). The workgroup will focus on benchmarking education materials, training and technical assistance program for metal finishers; with a special interest to utilize Green Chemistry approach to source reduction. The workgroup will meet quarterly.
